Brooklyn had learned over the years. It was always freezing in December, and that was why she made good use of heating charms pretty much the whole month. The whole winter season, really, since she’d much rather not deal with being cold. It wasn’t as if the Slytherin common room and dorms exactly had that much insulation after all. The castle in general was bad, but at least heat rose. Therefore she and the rest of the Snakes had it worst. Therefore, heating charms, since she’d also rather not wear seven million layers and look ten times bigger than she really was. With the charms, she was fine with her sweater, thicker stockings and her robe, adding a cloak or a jacket if she was going outside. She wasn’t, so that meant they weren’t needed.

Walking into the classroom, she gave the professor a slight incline of her head along with a polite smile. “Good morning Professor Marchand,” she added, taking a single sugar cookie on her way to an open seat. A small snack wouldn’t hurt, after all, and at least it wasn’t chocolate.
