Kitty finally got the idea of what her black tear could be used for. It was highly strange and unusual and she couldn't imagine how it would work, but it was a start. She began writing:
My invention is this Memory Tear, meant to be worn as a necklace but you can keep it in your pocket just the same. The Memory Tear will help whoever is wearing it regain a memory that they've forgotten. It wouldn't have to be something big, it could be something as small as what outfit you wore to a party years ago. I do not yet know what the magical science behind this would be, but I imagine there would be a connection with Remembralls, since Remembralls are able to detect when you've forgotten something.
As she finished describing her Memory Tear she heard Henry at a different table asking for help, and then Professor Newton made the offer of dividing into teams. "I already have my idea Professor, but I'll volunteer to assist anyone who needs a partner." She said this loudly enough for everyone to hear unless they were distracted.
