They were also currently missing the 'shem' which was the paper with the 'magic formula' denoting each specific golem's task. These, Angelo held concealed in his hand.
"Take a look at the golems up close if you'd like. They won't hurt you." Not yet.
"They each need to be activated before they can do anything. Once you all get a chance to take a look, I'll go over the safety rules, place the shem in their mouths, and activate them with the necessary glyph, and you'll all have a chance to see controlled golems in action and have a go at taking them out."
Should be fun.
"Those of you who don't want to participate in actively battling a golem, may sit in the safe zone." Angelo gestured at it.
"Its an area protected by runes, the golems can't pass through it. However, if you choose to sit out, you can still participate by using your brain, help your classmates by using the provided books and your notes to figure out how to defeat each golem, taking into account its material and also that they may each have slightly different magically invoked strengths and weaknesses."
And of course if anyone had questions they could probably get them in right now too.
ooc: this is your chance to get your charrie settled. You can have them go up and examine the golems while it is safe to do so, or stay away if your character is afraid ((woo! I'm early! ))
Jonas joined the others in the arena. He looked and as the professor talked, he stepped closer to get a better look at the golem. He had never seen one in real life before. It looked like a house elf. But....he knew it wasn't.
Geez he had a weeeeeiiird imagination. O_o....
((Jonas is going to participate by defeating the golem plz))
