After they were done, Angelo pulled back and took a moment to consider what they had just seen. Something about it didn't ring right to Angelo. "I don't think it was him." He said slowly. "I think..... he wanted them to think it was him. That was why there were so many leading statements. I think he was covering for someone else, purposefully trying to draw it out and keep the heat on himself while someone else got away with it."

Evangeline did go first. And similar to Angelo, though she didn't know it until he was finished, she felt that something was off with the scene as well. Particularly the man who was confessing his crimes. But were they his?

The former Ravenclaw's eyebrows were furrowed as she was in deep thought while Angelo reviewed the memory. She found herself flipping through the pages in the case file for more detail to support her thoughts. To her relief, Angelo came up and just as she was about to open her mouth, he beat her to it and almost spoke her mind. She nodded. "No, I completely agree," she told him when he finished. "He was too..." She shook her head. "That's not how they talk when they're committing their crimes. That's not how they act. He was too elaborate, too... focused on certain details. He was giving us everything we needed to believe it was him."

Evangeline pushed up photos of a few other suspects involved. "Now... Who was he covering for?" She asked the next question, her eyes returning to Angelo's.
