All the scientific lecturey stuff was a little lost on Henry but he did take his telescope and textbook with him as he got up to take a place by the window. It wasn't that the topic wasn't interesting. It very much seemed like time travel which was a really cool concept but it was also a lot of explanatory stuff that he wasn't as interested in. But he did want to try to find that star, 61 Ursae Majoris, as he did enjoy the practice of star-gazing.

It took all of his concentration and focus to find the star, using his textbook to find the coordinates and location, but he was fairly certain it was the correct one when he did. The Hufflepuff was fairly accustomed to using a telescope, after all. But.. what were they supposed to do after they found it? Henry sort of forgot and the ghostly professor was talking about something else now anyway.

Another star, this time finding one that had a similar age as his own. Considering that he would be 15 in just two months, Henry wondered if he could find one that was almost 15, or if it did have to be just 14. Flipping through his book and cross-referencing with his star-chart, Henry found a couple with the name Gliese and a different number. As he tried to decide just which one to choose, he started to wonder why there were several with the same name but different number - why not just give them a completely different name? - and just how Gliese was pronounced. Like Gleece, Glice, or Glee-ess.. or some other variation. Maybe it didn't really matter, but if it was his star, at least for the purposes of this class, he wanted to know how to say it correctly.

Deciding on Gliese 687, Henry wrote down a few semi-interesting facts about the star before he'd start looking for it. It was in the constellation Draco, which he was pretty sure was one that could be seen all year-round and that was promising. But his book did say that he would need a moderately sized telescope. Hopefully his was strong enough and he began searching the coordinates.
