Blinking. There was lots of it going on right now - insane amounts really - as the Hufflepuff both tried to retain SOMETHING that was being thrown at them in the cornucopia of information while also trying to follow instructions with their telescopes and finding their own birthday stars. She was...just going to try to focus on the latter of all that for now...finding a star that was 17, almost 18, light years away. Shouldn't be too difficult, yeah?

Only as her finger trace down the page she was only finding things in the 16 light year range and then jumping to 18 light years...which meant she needed to reason a little with this, yeah?

"Sigma Draconis," she read aloud, looking at the 18 light years away star first. Well...18 and nearly 19 light years away, really. As appealing as this one felt, because finding a star in association with such a strong constellation was the sort of boost she could use, it wasn't right. Which is why her blue eyes then fell on the 16, almost 17, light years away star - which she supposed was closer to her actual age and therefore a better suited fit. "Altair..." she whispered, flipping through her textbook to read up more on the particular star, finding it a bit ironic that it was a part of the constellation Aquila considering her fear of flying...but the more she read the more enthralled she became with the particular star. For reasons that, judging by how Professor Flamsteed had felt about the subject, were not suited for this particular classroom.

Quill out, Paige set to scribbling down some basic facts - keeping the more...whimsical aspects of her findings to herself.

SPOILER!!: parchment

Paige S Skeeter
February 27, 2073; 17 years of age

Altair; also designated Alpha Aquilae (α Aquilae, abbreviated Alpha Aql, α Aql)
  • 16.7 light-years (5.13 parsecs) from the Sun
  • he brightest star in the constellation of Aquila
    • a constellation in the northern sky
    • Latin for 'eagle'
    • represents the bird who carried Zeus/Jupiter's thunderbolts in Greco-Roman mythology
  • the twelfth brightest star in the night sky
  • one of the closest stars visible to the naked eye
  • associated with the sign Scorpio

Deciding she best turn her parchment in before she spiraled off into the Scorpio mindset, Paige duplicated her work with a wave of her wand - so she could spiral on her own back in her dormitory later - and quickly got to her feet and set the parchment on the professor's desk and then went back to her spot by the window and began packing up her things.
