If this drifting into anything like Astrology, he was sending Airey a strongly worded letter. " Oh just that, my dear," Marion nodded. " Just a little tid bit of astronomical information to help you feel a bit more connected to the universe. Another little pattern in the galaxy, if you will." SPOILER!!: all the little helpers Quote:

Genius, really.
Now to find his star! The Ravenclaw opened his star chart, squinting as he did so as he pointed out the right stars. After getting an initial glimpse, he then jotted down the names and added important notes about it. He had, by the way, charmed his other parchment to record a second copy for his revision later on since he wasn’t too sure if Professor Burbage would return his work. He took a moment to review his work, and once he was satisfied, went up to place his work on the professor’s table.
How in Great Jupiter’s name would she flip through their work anyway? More importantly, how would she bring their work back to her office? “Uhm...professor? Would you like me to help you bringing these to your office?” It would only be a short distance from the classroom, and it wouldn’t be a long way from the Ravenclaw tower so he’d be quick and not miss curfew. SPOILER!!: Parchment! Jacen Reed

Huh.. that was certainly new and nothing they would have done should Professor Airey be teaching. Once again she missed her teacher and she bit her lip as she turned back to her textbook in order to find her star. She was nearly 14, in about a month or so. but still 13 right now. So 13 light years away.. ish.
She scanned her textbook and found several stars that were 13 light years away.. so she tried to narrow it down to one.. She didn't want to put all of them, so instead she got the one that was closest to 14 light years.. like herself.
She looked through her telescope to find the star she had picked and then started to write her notes SPOILER!!: Az's notes Name: Azura Snow Birthday: December 22nd 2076 Age: 13 almost 14
I found several stars, but I picked the one that is closest in age to me. Star: Wolf 1061 Light years away: 13.8 Facts about Wolf 1061:- Red Dwarf Star
- Is in the constellation Ophiuchus
- Is the 36th closest known star system to the sun.
- Very stable star
- Found by Max Wolf in 1919
There.
She rolled up her parchment and then moved to put it on the Professors desk. She smiled as she heard what Jace said.. "Yeah do you need help Professor? I could help out too.. so We can make one trip? " She suggested. Quote:

Juno quickly pulled open her textbook and her star charts to find a star that was 15 to 16 light years away. She was going to be 16 in February so if she could find something that was 15.7 to 15.9 that would be perfect!
Luckily, she found one that was 15.9! She looked for the coordinates on her star chart, then positioned her telescope in the general area that the star should be in. Then she spotted it! It was absolutely lovely. She was really excited that she actually found it. Her birthday star! Well....her birthday star for now.
Juno found the star in her textbook, and jotted down notes about it on her parchment. As soon as she was done she rolled it up, and placed it on the Professor's Desk. SPOILER!!: Juno's notes Name: Juno Darcy Birthday: February 17th, 2075 Age: 15 almost 16
I found several stars, but I picked the one that is closest to my age. Star: AD Leonis Light years away: 15.9 Facts about AD Leonis:- Red Dwarf Star
- Is located relatively near the sun
- In the constellation Leo
- It is a flare star that has random increases in luminosity
- First observed in 1949 by Katherine C. Gordon and Gerald E. Kron at Lick Observatory, but found way before that.
Juno over heard Azura and a Ravenclaw student asking if they could help Professor Burbage take the papers back to her office for her, and thought it would be a good idea if she pitched in as well. "Oh, I can help too Professor if you need it." She smiled.
Oh now wasn't this teeeeeeeerribly kind of the little dears. " Oh no that will not be necessary," the ghost tutted affectionately at the trio. Especially considering how she did not have a proper office this term. Her Tower Patch served as more than a suitable location for mingling with students should the need arise. " But I DO thank you for your hospitality." Quote:

Puffing her cheeks she looked up and saw the… Professor hanging before her? Oeh oeh, she was in trouble! Maybe the professor would send her out of the less, she would like that, the les was boring anyway! But… Her eyes widened only slightly while hearing her punishment and she looked angry. It wasn’t her fault that the lesson had been boring! She already opened her mouth to protest when the professor just… Ignored her? Listening to what the professor said she gritted her teeth, so she really needed to do the activity and she didn’t wanted to. She really, really didn’t wanted to!
“Stupid old ghost” she muttered darkly while thinking about something she could do to have her revenge, maybe something with the professor’s grave? Hmm… MORE RUDENESS!
HUFF!
She would speak to the young woman's head of house about this as well. He seemed to be especially compassionate towards the Hogwarts ghosts this term and SURELY would have more than a few words for this young lady. Quote:

The blond quickly bent down to recollect her telescope and textbook, because Merlin's eyeball..... "Professor, could you help me find one to best fit me? All these numbers are hurting my brain." Like, really. SO MANY NUMBERS. And they weren't listed just as her age, but numbers that were WAY up there. Maybe she was misinterpreting the list, but eh, best to get some clarification, right? " Oh of course my dear," Marion cooed, her ghostly blood coming down from a boil to a mere simmer at the Gryffindor's request. " Do not let all the numbers and figures frazzle you too much darling. We shall work through this. First you must tell me your age, dear."
