Unforgivably Cursed | adultescent Although he had never celebrated Thanksgiving while he was growing up, Ethan had adopted many of his wife's customs and traditions, and celebrated them with their family. And who wouldn't love a holiday that had the main purpose of eating? Okay, so maybe that wasn't the true purpose of Thanksgiving, but it was one of his favorite parts of it.
This year, Ethan decided to try to bake a couple pies from scratch - pumpkin and apple. So far he wasn't doing half bad, even if he had a mess all over the counter. And of course he had both boys standing on chairs on either side of him, wanting to help. He had one of the crust dough out on the floured counter, just about ready to roll, but he'd let one of the kids work that out a little bit first. Gunnar liked to help in the kitchen. Though more accurate would be that he just liked to help. Being the oldest of the three kids, it just made him feel like a big kid. And now he was helping to make the dessert for Thanksgiving! Taking the rolling pin from his father, the eight year old, leaned over the counter and pushed the rolling pin into the dough. "Like this, Daddy?" Morgan wanted to help too! The two year old was on Daddy's other side, standing on a chair that was pushed up to the counter as he leaned to watch. Look at what a big boy he was! He could do cooking with Daddy. But right now Gunnar was hogging all the fun. "My turn!" he said, reaching for the rolling pin.
