Her purple eyes looked up to meet his green ones and she tilted her head a little as she smiled at him. "Hey, even if I get in.. that doesn't mean I'll be leaving this year, or even next.. I'll be around for awhile. " She wasn't disappearing overnight. She gave him a comforting smile hoping to ease his mind a little. He just looked a bit uncomfortable at her news..
Though it felt kinda good to know that people wanted her around.. sometimes she wasn't sure if she would be missed. It was nice to know that she would be.
A soft giggle escaped her lips as he spoke and she smiled. "She's a lucky girl to have such an amazing guy for an older brother. " she said with a soft smile. She always wished she had a sibling, for instances like that.. Though Wes and Rai did well enough asnher cousins.. she was highly grateful for them.
She smiled as Jazz'a fingers started to play the instrument once again and she grinned as he started singing..
She instantly chimed in when he stopped singing with the next verse. "Before the cool done run out
I'll be giving it my bestest
And nothing's gonna stop me but divine intervention.
I reckon, it's again my turn
To win some or learn some."
She smiled warmly at him, this was a whole lot of fun. Looking at how she responded to him, Jazz mentally shook his head, not understanding how she couldn't think as highly of herself. This was where his awkward ego boosting attempts came in. "That's because we know you're good enough to get in."
No blushing or awkward scratching, he just nodded his head to emphasise his point. Because Azura was going to be good enough to get in, especially if she really wanted to get it. And considering the schools she mentioned, who wouldn't want to get in?
He couldn't help but awkwardly reach up to scratch his neck when she picked up on his discomfort at the idea of her leaving through, shrugging his shoulders slightly. "I'll just have to get better at sending owls when you do go," he gave her a sheepish grin at that comment. He was not going to allow her to drop off the face of the world after leaving.
Nope.
Not allowed.
He couldn't help but flush slightly red and laugh at her comment about Felicity being lucky to have an 'amazing guy' like him as a brother. The compliment from Azura definitely meant something. "I think you'd find my sister would disagree," he commented amused. Especially in a few years if she ever had a boyfriend.
Jasper's grin only grew as Azura took over singing, though as she stopped singing he finished playing, tapping his guitar for a moment in thought. Knowing that he desperately wanted to keep that smile on her face, he thought of the other songs she'd mentioned earlier. He didn't know how to play 'I Won't Give Up', so he instead went for 'Thinking out Loud', though he didn't start singing this time, instead waiting for her too. He'd rather listen to her sing, he'd decided at that moment.
After he'd finished playing he looked back up at her. "Any other songs that you like?"
He just hoped he'd be able to play whatever she requested. |
