His approval gained a small, genuine smile from the twelve year old which had been a rare occurrence lately. An excuse to get lost among the flowers was always appreciated and perhaps it could gain her some extra credit, too. "Thanks, Professor. Which of the flowers do you think need the most tending?" So she'd know where to start.

"What kind of experimenting?" Sounded like something the Ravenclaws would enjoy but Junia was also quite curious.
Paul smiled at her smile. "I'll keep that in mind from now on." He nodded. And then he was quiet for a good bit, reflecting on her words.

Finally, he said, "I enjoy teaching...for many reasons," he said softly. "But one of the best....reasons, really, is that I get to learn from you all....every day of my life," He pinched the stem of one of the roses and plucked it, making sure to pluck it at the right angle and all for the regrowing to be done properly, but he plucked it nonetheless and handed it to her. "If you put it in a glass with water and some nutrients, it should live awhile, m'dear." He smiled at her once more.

"I'm not sure what kind of experiments yet...but I do know that all of my flowers need tending, but I could make up a list or some sort of organizational way to water them and take care of them and hang it up in each Greenhouse, perhaps. I think that'd be best, actually." He nodded. "Would you prefer to water magically or...the muggle way?"
