Daxton had worked hard to determine a time during which the student potion labs would be empty. Ideally, he could avoid Newton as well, because Daxton preferred working in total solitude. Then again, this was not always possible.

With his notebook and potions kit in hand, Daxton entered the lab, where there was not another student in sight, and immediately located he most far-removed workstation - not that there were many differences between each of the workstations in the room. He sat down on a stool, set his potions kit in front of him, and began flipping through his notebook until he arrived the page detailing his notes from the recent Potions lesson about the modified Babbling Beverage. Daxton had had his own theories that day, and had since developed some of those ideas into possible recipes for his Babbling Veritaserum potion, and today was all about testing those. Before doing anything else, before getting himself a cauldron, or sorting through his potions kit, he reviewed the notes - and the additions he had since made - one more time.

No doubt he looked like he was up to no good - it seemed to be something of a default setting for Daxton Prince.
