Alright potions. Let's do this Winchester. Colt already got his cauldron all set up for the lesson. He hoped it wouldn't fail on him, I mean it was a pretty cheap cauldron to begin with. He saw dirt and such on it that made his nose scrunch up. He squinted at the board to see the directions. "Man can the professors write any smaller?" he muttered to himself. He scribbled the whole potion recipe till his eyes were crossed. Then he went to work. He saw he needed to clean his cauldron. Well no duh. He got his wand out of his robes and said, "Scourgify!" and voila. His cauldron was clean. He added some water to it, he measured the 500 ml of water and then brought his cauldron to a simmer with, "Incendio!" He brought to a little simmer and said, "Finite." Then he saw on his list, he needed to add some leaves? Oh right he needed to go to the front and get his ingredients. Come on Winchester get with the game plan. He walked up to the front and collected everything.

He went back to his seat and saw he needed 5g of the leaves. He added them in and saw he needed to leave them in for 20 minutes. After he prepared his other ingredients, he removed the traces of leaves and added the dried billywig stings and a pinch erumpent tongue. Now he needed to boil it for 10 minutes? He shrugged and said, "Incendio!" and it started to boil and he counted while continuously stiring counter-clockwise.

  • 5g Fresh Alihotsy leaves
  • 2 dried Billywig Stings
  • Pinch of powdered Erumpent tongue

Method
  • Clean equipment
  • Add water to cauldron, and bring to a simmer
  • Stew alihotsy leaves in simmering water for 20 minutes [prepare other ingredients whilst waiting]
  • Remove all traces of leaves, and return water to a boil
  • Add dried billywig stings and erumpent tongue, boil for 10 minutes, continuously stiring counter-clockwise
  • Allow to cool to room temperature (22 °C/72 °F)
  • Add armadillo bile, stir five (5) times counter-clockwise
  • Add leech juice, stir twenty (20) times counter-clockwise, and the potion should be light brown in colour
  • Bring back to a boil
  • Circle wand counter-clockwise over cauldron whilst saying the incantation ‘garrula lingua’ and bring down to a simmer
  • Add 1 levelled tablespoon of activated charcoal
  • Stir counter-clockwise three (3) times slowly
  • Add a pinch of ground bezoar
  • Stir once counter clockwise and remove from heat
  • As it cools, it will turn from a light brown colour to a fluorescent yellow
  • When the colour stops lightening, you may bottle your potion. It will be approximately ten serves, if stored in 20mL vials.
  • Label one vial for the Professor to analyse, and ingest another vial. Save the others for your own use, or dispose of.

Characteristics: Fluorescent, solid yellow
Level: Beginner - Intermediate
Information: Dose is 20ml. Smaller dose will limit effects, larger dose will have no extra effect due to the addition of activated charcoal and ground bezoar, which adds a protection to the drinker.
