They get to feed them? Even the Thestral that he can’t see? The gear in his brain started to move and was just too excited to get his hands dirty that he forgot about taking more notes. After stuffing his things haphazardly into his bag, which by the way was highly unusual of the boy, Jace got up from his seat and went for the meats to feed the horse that he can’t see.
Holding up the small bucket in his hand, Jace watched the Head Girl feed air...and could not help but feel jealous that she can, probably, see one. Quietly, the Ravenclaw stood beside the senior student and just opened and closed his mouth. “Uhm...hi?” he said to the badged Slytherin and gave her a shy smile. “Can I...can I try feeding Sinatra too?” he continued, his voice laced with all the awkwardness in the world. “I...I can’t see him though.” He said looking up front, holding up the bucket of meat in his hands.
It didn’t take long for the bucket to move...and its contents slowly being devoured. Small eyes grew big as saucers in astonishment...and just pretty much watched the chewed up meat travel downwards...and then it too disappeared somewhere in the middle. “Can you see him? Is he happy?” Jace asked the older girl. He obviously wanted to pet the creature but he’s afraid he might poke it in the eye or something.
Hady Lynch was in sort of a daze. This beautiful creature standing before her was absolutely attention grabbing. It had tossed her back into the past where memories dwelled, ones she had been trying to not think about. Her fingers gently ran along Sinatra's side in a smooth motion.
It wasn't until a small voice at her side finally broke through her haze causing her to blink at the younger boy for a second. Huh? Oh, oh he wanted to join her. The seventh year put a smile on her face and nodded.
"Hello, of course you can join me if you like." She took a small step to the side allowing there to be a little more space between them so that (Jace) could get closer. Even though he had just said he couldn't see Thestrals it was very clear that one was there. Firstly, she could see it. Second it was munching away on the meat in the boys bucket.
A small laugh escaped her lips as Jace's eyes grow wide in amazement.
"I think Sinatra likes the meat you brought over," she told him quietly. Being asked if she could see him she meerly nodded her head.
"I can. I think he is, he certainly seemed to enjoy the meat." Hady reached out a hand once more but this time in offering to Jace.
"Give me your hand and I can help you pet him...if you like." Since she could see it there wouldn't be a chance in harming it if she helped the smaller boy. Would it feel like he was petting it, well that she wasn't entirely sure but they would find out.
