At first, Finn just sort of lingered behind a bit. He didn't want to mess this up and hurt the horses nevermind himself. He watched some of the older, more confident-looking students. Some of them were talking to the horses, some of them were gathering around a giant open space he assumed were thestrals. It seemed like offering food in your outstretched hand was a good idea..
