Didn't this kid know he was basically a first year himself as a transfer student? The only people he had made friends with was Janelle and Paige and they were both sitting somewhere else.
"You're in Ravenclaw so you're automatically cool to me , Finn" He said. "And i'm Mason" he'd liked to say more but it was at that moment that the Professor talked to him. About his book...?
Noooo.. WAY. Someone in the upper levels, that had been at Hogwarts that long, thought HE was cool? "
Nice to meet you, Mason," was all he had time to get out before the professor addressed him.
Hold the phone. Did Mason just get in trouble for READING a BOOK? Scandalous!
Finn looked over at Mason and mouthed
sorry, dude! to him. Rotten luck, in trouble for furthering your learning.

Which is pretty interesting, and not many wizards could own abraxans as their pet due to the cost of their care and diet: Single-malt whiskey is not that cheap, buddy! "And speaking of diet, Thestrals are the only breed that are carnivorous. The other can take fruits and vegetables as their diet."
Jordan took a pause for a while before continued speaking. "Ministry has classified them as XXXX, although both Granian and Aethonan can be classified as XX or XXX. But still, only skilled wizards can handle them. I have been working with them for years and based on my experience, winged horses needed to be respected, petted and taken care carefully or they could cause a harm." So he hope that there would be no smarties who insulted them.
"Okay guys, once you have finished writing I want you to stand up and follow me." He instructed as he walked to the other side of the backyard. Waving his wand, he pulled of the disillusionment charm and revealed four winged horses represent of each breeds. "I want you guys to meet my new buddies here, they will be the new members of our barn. This one..." The CoMC professor pointed to the small grey-colored winged horse. "is Maxine." And then, the walked and introduced the largest one beside Maxine, the white-colored one. "This one is Aurora." Moving on, he introduced the chestnut-colored one, it was not as large as Aurora. "This is Perseus." And the last one, not many student could see them maybe.. But he could. "And the last one is Sinatra. Yeah, some of you might not be able to see it because it's a Thestral."
Weren't they pretty? HEHEHE.
"So, based on their looks I think you guys know each difference of them, right? Which one is which?" He asked.
Okay, Finn had been right to be worried about his brain exploding from information overload. What was XXXX, really good or really bad? Alcohol being vital, but water being like alcohol? And like... thanks so much for putting that info on the board, Hernandez, because now he finally knew how to spell these fancy words everyone was throwing around. More frantic scribbling was a must here.
And good thing I didn't guess Pegasus, he mused.
I would have looked like a stupid first year. Which of course he didn't want to be. The stupid part, at least.
Ohhh, field trip? He followed the crowd and then watched the professor's wand wave. Finn let out an audible
GASP. "[B]Woah![/I] Those were so COOL! He didn't even hear the part about the professor asking them a question. He just kept staring. And yep, his mouth might have been hanging open a bit.

I've read that they're considered unlucky because of this and that many wizards tend to avoid them at all costs."
But then he realized there were supposed to be four breeds. He was pretty sure he knew how to count. There were three. So he took particular interest in that girl's question. He wanted to see them!
