Holy butterscotch. What was going on here? Apparently Charlotte was reassuring him that her desk was not burning and all Owen could do was give her a cautious, hesitant smile. Riiiiiight, Kettleburn. Then another one of their classmate, Tak this time, was standing over Char, and there was a quite a bit of arguing and then came Trixie from behind who also had a say and the other blonde, Liv was it?... Well, Owen didn't really know where to look or who to listen to at this point.
Wait, why was everyone leaving? Why were people losing so many points? Owen was so freaking confused. Was that it? The lesson was over? Did he learn something? Anything? Um, just that he had a lot of spare time till the next subject and that Professor Sokolov was...how to put it...not what he really expected? But he supposed something good came out of everything that happened. No homework. Yes!!
Owen began packing up his things when something occurred to him and he called out to his seat mate, "Hey, Char. You think I can join you if and when you go see Professor Sokolov about his offer?" He didn't know much about runes but she did which meant that if they went there together then the girl will do most of the talking even if she was asked or not. Besides, Owen wanted to learn how to work with runes safely just as the Professor said.
