The blonde laughed at the very clearly excited Connor standing before her. "I'm very healthy Con and I always eat right," she smiled lightly poking a finger at his chest. "It's you and our son that need to eat better." Uh-huh that's right she knew about their junk food habit. Hazel eyes were shining as she looked up at him. As for extra hours at work, that was tough. Being the Head of a department meant she had to make sure things got done. "I'll try. I can't just go letting things remain undone at work."
"A girl? Lot's of pink and pretty dresses." That would be a nice change of pace to mud, bugs and running around all the time. Addi settled herself back down into her chair with another smile. "Well I don't know, what am I 'allowed' to eat?" This was meant as a joke since he was the one that said she needed to eat healthy.
Connor knew they didn't blame him yet it never hurt to hear Addi and Koen reassure him. He loved his family even more for being this understanding. "I know you don't. I'm lucky to have such an understanding wife.'' That and one who understood how dangerous it was to work in the chambers of the Department of Mysteries.
Connor laughed. "That's right. You do.'' Him and Koen did have a lot of junk at times. "I'll limit your cravings then. I still remember you wanted lots of ice cream when you were pregnant with Koen.'' Addi sent him out in the middle of the night to get a tub of that once when they were all out at home. "I know. Tell you what. I'll do my best to help you so the work load isn't too much.'' He'd help in whatever he could since he knew he might not be able to do a lot since he was not Head of Department.
"Lots of those. She'll love all the girly things, pink...'' A little princess! Their family would be complete as they already had a prince. "Anything that's healthy. I'll let you have anything you want for dessert though.'' Connor was teasing back. He knew Addi would made the right choices without him. |
