There was enough study and tedium when he was learning at the university without adding to it here. It might have been intended as busy work, but all the same Angelo was determined to find something useful. Something that would help him prove himself.

.... and also maybe the more distracting the better, given who he was currently working with.

With grim focus he wrote down the classification for the next memory. Or rather, the next series of memories, since they were all related to the one unsolved murder case from 2066.

"Want to start with the crime scene, the interrogation, or the trial?" He asked, turning to look directly at his partner for the first time in several long minutes.
Evie didn't mind this part of the job. Cold cases were actually a little fascinating to her. Evangeline had always liked challenges, especially if they came in puzzle form. These were basically real life puzzles and she loved diving into them. She didn't know about Angelo, but she was content doing this kind of work. She'd go insane if she were in here all week, but the occasional cold case was a good brain exercise.

It was also a good distraction from the occasional tension between herself and who she very often worked with.

"Interrogation" she said without much thought. Interrogations were her favorite. Her intuition helped pick up cues and tells from the people getting interrogated. Evie was fascinated by people and their motives, so interrogation was her obvious choice. For some, looking at the crime scene would come first, but looking at things in a different order helped people find clues in a different way.
