The man paused. That knock? It didn't sound like the knock of a confident person or someone who was in any urgent need but it sounded like the knock of someone who might not want to be there? Or someone who figured that they could get help from someone else instead. He surveyed the door over the top of his glasses, as if he was trying to see through it and figure out who was standing on the other side.
A moment or two passed before he called out, "Come in!" He started putting the letter back together and folding them up again. Personal, those were. OOC: HAI LINDS

Mason sighed as he heard a voice saying he could come inside the office and after a calming breath he opened the door. Stepping inside, he could not help but look around in curiousity. It was a habit of him to look around whenever he gotten somewhere new. The office was certainly not how he had pictured it would be.
Closing the door behind him, the newly Ravenclaw walked further until he was at the desk the Professor was behind and stood still behind the chair in front of it.
"Hi, i'm Mason, i was wondering if--" his dark brown eyes fell on the stack of books and he smiled a little.
"Nice book collection" he commented before looking back at the man.
Wait, what had he wanted to say again? The books had distracted him.
