Janelle had taken the long way to the Common Room and at last she had arrived. After solving her first riddle of the term she crossed the threshold and entered the familiar room. Janelle stopped short, the darkness catching her off guard. Well this was different. She had seen a lot of things in her time at Hogwarts, but never a glow in the dark Common Room. It was actually pretty cool.

Once her eyes adjusted to the lack of light, Janelle took in the scene. The thing that made her smile the most was the food. She made a beeline for the food table and grabbed a spring roll, some crystallized pineapple and some pumpkin juice to wash it down. Yes, this was a good welcome party.

Spotting her new Head of House, Janelle addressed him. "Hello Professor Hirsch. Nice party." She found an empty beanbag chair and sat down carefully. It was time to enjoy her snacks. Janelle began to nibble on her spring roll and sat back to enjoy the floating stars.
