There was a perk to being first through the door, as he stepped aside. And it was this: Nicky Iver took just a few long strides and then hopped right up on Professor Hirsch's desk, crossing one long leg over the other and letting them swing.

"I wasn't coming back, you know," she said, waiting for him to close the door. So, you know, this conversation was one that wasn't supposed to be necessary.

"But I am, so..." the girl shrugged, pulling a piece of gum out of her pocket and unwrapping it. Popping it into her mouth she chewed. "So, I've got two things."

Bubble blown.
