Teddy's chest still felt a little tight, but he knew it wasn't something he needed to worry about. It was probably all the adrenaline making him feel as if an elephant was squishing his lungs. It wasn't, of course. Or maybe it was just that he was dealing with the news.
"Yes, I'm okay Lux," he said, as reassuringly as possible. He didn't want her to worry, and he did NOT want to lose her. He let her pull him into a hug, and he tightly wrapped his arms around her too. Her being in his life meant more to him than he could express. She had helped him immensely. With life, emotions, coping, studying, braving the outdoors, even if it was just Diagon Alley 'outdoors', it was something he never wanted to do before. "We will always be friends, if I have anything to do with it," he said with a little smile. He couldn't lose her. No, it just was not an option.
