The thought of ordering their meal and starting to eat before she told him the news was lost the second Connor sat down. He was wasting no time in getting right to the point. Clearly he had to know. Addi smiled lightly her blue eyes lifting to meet his own as she reached to take hold of his hand. Lacing her fingers between his she felt years younger remembering the first and only time they had this conversation. It seemed so long ago and it was. Ten almost eleven years ago already. "Connor... I'm pregnant. We're going to have a baby." Calm voice. Nothing more then a hint of nervousness in her eyes.
Connor would take this well. Her husband loved kids and they had always wanted more then just one. Now they would. Koen would have a sibling.
Addi's comment to him made him smile, that easy- going grin lighting up his face. It certainly helped to cover any nervousness that may be showing. "You're still and always will be my brave Lion.'' It was true that he had been stonier during Hogwarts. As a matter of fact, he and Addison had disliked each other for a very long time. He had disliked her for being such a brainiac. One could say he had been jealous of her. Did Addison know? Yes, she did.
Connor fidgeted nervously in his chair and waited with bated breath for the news. He couldn't help being anxious. He watched Addison open her mouth to speak. She was going to say this wasn't going to work out and that him being gone for years had destroyed things between the- A BABY????
The man sat there speechless for a second, his mouth hanging open somewhat.
"You're pregnant?" he suddenly burst out and not caring who heard. The man leapt out of his seat to scoop his wife into his arms. As if that wasn't enough, he spun her around in his arms. She had made him so happy!
"I'm so happy about this, Addi,'' he told her as he set her down before kissing her full on the lips.
And he had been such a worrywart.
