Go home?!

Eyes flew towards Hassan, as if asking him for an explanation or to see if he knew whatever it was that was going on. If he hadn't said yes to this, she would be even less inclined to go ahead with whatever plan the Healers had. It wasn't that she doubted their professional capabilities, she was just far less trusting than her two brothers. If it wasn't the best plan, then it wasn't happening.

When talk turned to the flowers she'd brought, Lilian plastered a smile on her face, moreso for the elderly man than for herself. The smile from him had been nice and so was his compliment but it wasn't enough to keep that smile on her face for any longer. Grandma. He was talking about Grandma as if she was here and could even get furious for someone not tending to the plants. The very same plants that Lily so very much adored as a young girl.

She gave Abey's hand another gentle squeeze and stayed silent.

But then the Clarks and Alice arrived and put an end to the questions and to Hassan's will to keep Grandpa here. If there was more care planned and Dad knew all about it, maybe it would be okay. Maybe. She trusted Dad, after all, and knew that if he'd okayed it, it might not be too bad. And there was not a need to worry as much as she was doing right now.

Glancing over at Hassan in particular, she gave him a nod of her head, as if to say that he should agree with this new care at Alexandria and let the man leave. Who knows, maybe Grandpa would be happier there than stuck in here.
