Melbourne’s face flushed to a deeper shade of crimson – almost the exact shade of her costume as he looked over to her. Yep, things still weren’t back to normal since, well, everything? That train ride had been awkward and nerve inducing. Still she just stood there and then she saw it – “Ronnie!” she squeaked out as she watched her charge try and impale her best friend.
Still the awkwardness broke as she watched Tenacius shift and take the sword between his side and his elbow. This was what she lov—liked about him…liked. She liked him. That was it. He was her best friend there was nothing she loved about him…nope not at all.
Ahem…”yeah good job squirt” she laughed as she walked over fully and knelt down near Tenacius. “He’s deaaaaaaad” she fake wailed at the girls and slapped her hand against his chest with a tad more force than she had intended. “Hadley, they’ve killed him…we should plan a funeral” she jumped up her foot accidentally catching on the edge of the sword.
It didn’t take long for the Gryffindor to realize the error in her ways especially when one minute she had been standing and walking and the next, well, she was soaring through the air like wonderwoman…except the painful THUMP that happened when she landed on her stomach right at Hadley’s feet. “my…can’t breathe” she wheezed out before laughing. “How did I look? Did I strike a pose?” she asked Hadley with a laugh as she rolled over and pulled herself off of the ground. “Nice…Octopus seems fun…we should try and make them do things together so we can hang out when we’re baby sitting them” Mel grinned over to Hadley. Brilliant. Perfect idea. Four eyes were better than two right?
Ronnie gasped as she saw Tenacius fall over and call out that they had gotten him. She had gotten him! “We’ve gotten him!” she gasped over to Octavia and watched in awe as Melbourne dramatically slammed her hand into his chest. “I think shes’ trying to revive him…we should revive him” she whispered over to Octavia as she moved over and positioned herself where Melbourne had been before her comedic flight…still, Ronnie was more preoccupied with the giant.
“DON’T DIE” she poked him in the side with her foot before kneeling as Mel had and slamming her hand into his chest. “We should smack him all over and see if he responds” Ronnie nodded and continued to slap the older boy in his chest. “Don’t die sir knight” she whispered as she gingerly reached up her hand and poked him in the face…”I like his face, it’s a nice face…he has a nice face” she muttered more to herself than anything…okay so he might have been a pretty knight but that didn’t mean anything to the little girl.
