Mel’s eyes widened as she heard the name that Hadley was calling her. “Haaaaads,” she practically hissed at her friend as she felt her cheeks reddening. “Baby sitting my cousin Veronica…she’s a Payne,” she added with a little bit of a smirk. “Octopus?” She asked with a little grin. Mel looked over to Ace as he came over and commented on Hadley’s costume.
Her cheeks were almost the exact shade as her costume when she noticed Ace looking at it…right…not the time to doubt what she was wearing. It was the time to embrace everything that Wonderwoman stood for and be strong? Right. Strong. Yep.
“I…uh like your SaturnGirl costume too Hads, it fits for you.” She beamed at her friends…she might have felt a bit exposed in that moment as she stood there with her friends.
Veronica looked at Octavia for a bit before she tipped her head at her as she stepped backwards. “Octopus…why does she call you that? It’s better than ANY nickname Mel…er Melon has given me?” She frowned. “They only ever call me Ronnie…” she added with a huff as she puffed out her cheeks.
The girl looked scared. That was what Veronica thought when she saw her backing away and the only clear thing that changed was that Mel’s friend Ace had showed up….Mel also seemed different awkward? Like she didn’t want to be there?
She had to stop him didn’t she? The prince was not her prince. SHE didn’t need a prince. With a little warrior yell the girl gave Octavia a nod – “I’ll protect you” she added before charging at Ace.
Well to be fair, the classic Wonder Woman costume is made to catch attention. So of course Ace would look. Also its Wonder Woman. The fact that Mel just enhances its features (or it enhances Mel's) is just a given. Yes things are getting weird for him lately.
So apparently Prince Charming or a shining Knight isnt what he looks like specially to Ronnie Warrior Princess. He just caught her movement that she was charging, and if he didn’t move, she'd likely hit the crown jewels….
…so he moved. Dropped to a knee as he caught her sword between his arm and his torso, and made like she has slain the big bad "Ohhhhhh……. You got me…. " he warbled and wobbled until he collapsed dramatically onto the floor.
"-- Good job Giant Slayer!..." he looked up for a moment, with a grin and a thumbs up before going dead again.
