Accompanied her by eight-year-old granddaughter, Lenora Howell was a little out of her element here. From what she could tell, it was a gathering of normal witches and wizards, dressed up as....such a muggle idea, to dress up as a princess or a superhero, eh? But Seldy had wanted to come, and a much younger Lenora would have told her grandchild no.
But this was Seldy. And Seldy was her darling, precious granddaughter. And also....the Montmorency boy was going to be here, and it was time the two should meet. It was too bad Dahlia wouldn't be in attendance. She would have liked someone to talk to.
Seldy's and pulled her along, and Lenora wondered how lavishly dressed up the other children would be. She had only allowed Iselda a crown. That was quite enough.
"Slow down, Seldy. Gran is old and tired," she said, almost with a smirk crossing her features.
Seldy let go of Lenny's hand and was going to bounce a little in excitement but decided it would be horribly improper to do so. So she just clapped her hands a few times in excitement and hugged her Gran's waist. "Thanks sooooooooo much, Gran! I'm gonna' make you a necklace," she decided quickly.

It made her Gran chuckle, and that was ALWAYS a good and rare thing! SO she busied herself with that. The red candies were SPARKLY. THE CANDY WAS SPARKLY. SPARKLY CANDY. Her GRAN might think sparkly things were tacky BUT SHE DIDN'T!!!!!!
