" She hoped she was just missing it. Maybe she did it in her sleep?
Accioing some tissues Victoria let go of her friend's hand and dabbed her eyes. She was at work and shouldn't be acting like this. "The support group, yes, I might need to look into that. I'll need to talk with Charley more too. Maybe a healer could help fully determine things as well. " She really wasn't sure since she had never been faced with this. What a year it had been. Her father and now this. "It isn't unheard of, but twins not having it around the same time?" She shook her head, "These two haven't ever been a part. If one goes to Hogwarts and one can't." She didn't even want to think about it. Mariel listened quietly as Victoria spoke, offering her silent support. As a mother herself, she could really feel for her. She'd likely be upset too if she thought one of her children was a squib, though of course she wouldn't love said child any less. And she knew Victoria would feel the same. But perhaps she was still jumping ahead of herself. "Has she said anything?" Not that Mariel would really expect Alana to know much and she didn't think that Victoria would want to upset her. But maybe she would have had her own observations about what her twin was doing, and she was old enough to maybe have some thoughts about not doing something that her sister could. She let go of her friend's hand as she took some tissues, but she remained focused on Victoria. "Yes, of course," she nodded. "Have you talked to Charley yet about it? Has Cosgrach had any thoughts?" She didn't discount Victoria's thoughts at all, she was just curious what the men in the young girl's life might have thought too, regarding whether they thought she was delayed or what might be done about it. "I think seeing a healer is a good idea. They should certainly be able to give you some answers too."
Mariel shrugged lightly and nodded. Yes, they were twins, but she was not sure that was so definitive. "They aren't identical though, so maybe that has something to do with it too." Besides, if it was possible for one to be a squib and one not, then it was just as possible for one to be a little more delayed than the other. She let out a little sigh and gave her a sympathetic smile. "That will be hard for them, I'm sure, if it does come to that. Though I suppose there is alternative schooling if you did want to keep them together." That would be a hard decision though, but she did have time to work things out if it ended up that way.
