Thunk, thunk, thunk could be heard as Penelope dragged her three pet rocks up the stairs, the rocks trailing behind her on their leashes. When she reached the familiar bronze eagle knocker, Penelope scooped the rocks up off the ground and held them up so they could get a better view of the knocker. After all, they were so small that they wouldn't be able to see the knocker from the ground. "This knocker is the way to get in to the Ravenclaw common room. The knocker is one of my favorite and least favorite things about Ravenclaw. It asks a question or a riddle, and to get in you have to answer it correctly. If you don't get the right answer you might be waiting out here for a long time. Awful when you're in a rush to get to class, but it challenges the mind." Recently the knocker had taken to asking her NEWT questions. Useful for revision. She especially liked the questions that really challenged her, and if she wasn't trying to hurry to get to a class or patrol it was fun to wait with other Ravenclaws trying to figure out the riddle.
