Nice to meet you!" Sam put her arm out to the man for a handshake. "May I ask yours?" She had not met him before, she was pretty confident... She would feel terrible if she found out she had! She noticed his accent, and wondered if she wanted to learn more about this man. Quote:

Addison smiled watching Adam reach for a bit of parchment. Accepting it from her she looked it over amused by the ink blots and scribbles. It very much threw her back to her days when she worked in the Love Chamber years ago. All the notes she had taken down and scribbled through. A small laugh left her lips and she met the mans gaze for a brief moment. "Oh, this is perfect. I will take this with me and see how much of it I can get." Most of it didn't appear to be a big problem. What she could read of it anyhow. The bits in German she might have to look into a little more. While Addison was reading over Adam’s potion ingredient wish list, Sam perked up. ”Ah-dahm,” he replied reaching over from his work station to shake her hand firmly as he flashed a toothy smile. “Vu must be new,” he added uncertain of what else to say. He noticed that she was cleaning up a cauldron. “Vhat ist vour spet-…spet…” pause; internal sigh. “Focus?” Adam was not good at small talk so he hoped she understood his question. In fact, small talk usually made him nervous because he was afraid he was going to say something stupid, especially since his English wasn’t very good as evidenced by the fact that he couldn’t remember the word “specialty.” Even in his familiar German, however Adam wasn’t that smooth of a talker. Perhaps that was one of the reasons he had gotten into potion making. It didn’t require much chit-chat. It wasn’t that Adam didn’t like talking, he just wasn’t very good at verbal communication.
Opening a draw, Adam pulled out a small container and stood up. He pulled a round tank full of orange fish forward. If one looked closely enough, they’d see that the fish gave off a faint greenish-orange glow. He opened the contained and pinched some food to drop into the tank. The fish happily began eating and a low humming noise started to emanate from the tank, but at that point, Addison spoke.
Perfect? He thought. Funny, he had been expecting to have to explain his reasoning regarding a few of his items, especially the chocolate request(s). As it turned out, Adam was happy he didn’t have to plead his case. “Wunderbar!” he exclaimed happily. The sooner he got the chocolate and Lovage plant he could get on with his next concoction experiment.
