There wasn't exactly any more need for practicing a shield so Esme felt that it was time for her to choose a partner and go against them. Her first instinct was to choose her sister, but she was trying to branch out a little bit and work with her other friends as well. Juno knew how much she was loved and this didn't change anything. At least she wasn't instinctively trying to do everything herself?

Eyes finding her cousin, she smiled. "Hey, Skylar. Do you want to work together?" Even though Esme was older it wasn't exactly like she would go hard on the other girl. Not only was that mean in general, but they were family.
