That was basically it. She looked to the side, toying with a candy bag on the shelf right next to them to distract herself and not say things she'd regret later. "Well..." When he put it this way, it didn't sound so unreasonable or hurtful. "... okay. But then..."She sighed, feeling a little lost and not sure why she was this mad if it was this simple. She already was regretting this. "Maybe say that next time instead of what you said..." which she forgot but she was sure it was much more hurtful.
Also, why was he not excited about getting a job with her? Didn't that mean he wasn't that crazy about her? Not as crazy as she was, anyway.
Eureka chewed the insides of her cheeks and slooooowly started taking the extra candy bags from his arms and putting them back onto the shelves because, let's face it, she was not going to eat all that. Her face would break out in pimples. |
