The bridge was the perfect place to think... and that's exactly what he was doing, until he wasn't. The trouble with thinking about things intently and for periods of time, was that he somehow always managed to get into a state of nothingness, and looking out over the edge was all he was actually doing right now.
His sweatshirt was still stuck to his back and dampened with the exertion of his run, but it was cooling very quickly leaving his skin feeling icy cold in parts.
