March 31, 2090. That date was going to be engrained in his mind forever. There was yet another reason why today of all days was quite possibly the best day of his life thus far. The mandrake leaf was no longer in his mouth; he was seventeen; and he had just kissed Hady Lynch, which was a big deal since it had been months since the last time he had done so. Best. Birthday. Ever.
Frankie, once their kiss had passed, just stood there taking everything in. The world felt whole again, and he had no regrets for kissing her right then and there. It was all rather sweet really, with everything coming in full circle. They had shared their first kiss on her birthday years ago, and now they were making up on his birthday. It felt right.
He squeezed back after she sneakily slid her hand into his. When she mentioned that they should go eat, he simply nodded his head and let her lead the way. The blond certainly wasn't going to say no to filling up his stomach. For a moment, however, he was concerned. She was heading in a direction opposite of the Great Hall. But that basket was in her hand, so he didn't say a word. He, feeling as if someone had casted a feather-light charm on him, simply followed along wherever she happened to be taking them.
