The smile that was now on her face was undeniable. "Always told you I was fun to keep around," she teased nudging him gently. Truth had it that she wasn't careless or full of crazy ideas as she was mostly pretty laid back but she did enjoy having a good time just like anyone else.

Hadleigh laughed. "Come on Frank, you know I wouldn't let you down like that." Not on his birthday anyhow. She had been planning this for sometime. "I always have my reasons for why I do things." A book wasn't what she had in mind at first as she knew he wasn't one to sit around and just read for that was her thing but when she heard about this particular book she didn't think twice about getting it for him. Even if she had to sit and read it to him she knew it would be read. "I know, I believe you." The promise wasn't needed but it was met with a grin.

There had been no time to pull back and look away as intended after she had kissed his cheek. It was supposed to just be meant as a friend thing. Only it was more then that the moment her lips let his cheek and she knew it. Her own cheeks grew warm and she wanted to look away before the blonde noticed only rather then doing so she turned her eyes upwards wanting to meet those of blue.

The moment she looked upwards expecting to see his face she was met with a kiss. Not one like she had just given him. Oh no. This was on the lips. Exactly like what she had wanted to do seconds earlier but had chosen not to. Just like always Frankie knew her thoughts and before she could even register what was fully happening Hady was kissing him back.

She might have momentarily forgotten where they were standing but that didn't matter. It was important that he understood just how much she missed him and even more so just what he means to her.
