Wrong questions would yield...interesting outcomes???? Kitty did not like the sound of that at all. She gazed at the tanks with narrowed eyes. There were plants inside them, along with water and rocks. But no fish that Kitty could see nor any other life form. What were they doing in transfiguration?
Kitty was inclined to not ask any question - out of fear of what the "interesting outcomes" might be. This was her third year at Hogwarts and she knew that "interesting outcomes" were not always pleasant outcomes. But staying silent might catch the professor's attention and she might get the interesting outcome anyway.
She raised her hand shakily into the air and asked in a quivering voice, "Are we going to transform into small animals and go inside the tanks?" As she asked this she turned to count the tanks to see if there was one for everyone. Actually, her guess was pretty creepy, not something she wanted to be correct on. |
