With those who were under the influence of the potion stuck, the headmaster quickly went to the food table. It all, especially those brownies, disappeared with a simple wave of his hand to be inspected later. There would be no more students going under in front of his very own dark brown eyes.
The African turned toward Sora, who was already on top of interrogating James about where he got those brownies. He quickly joined them, as there wasn't much to do until Arthur made an appearance, and listened with a careful ear while keeping his eyes on the love-crazed students. So far, it seemed like things weren't going anywhere. For a moment he thought about telling James to stop being a pain and just answer the simple question Sora had asked him, but he had a feeling that would just shut the man down even more.
His gaze shifted to the doorway as he watched Leo depart and Arthur enter. There was a brief exchange between the two, then Sora was quick to fill the man in further before going back to interrogate James. "Dank you for coming so quickly, Arthur," Sahnoun said, watching the potions master searched for something he assumed would be an antidote to all of this nonsense.
And it seemed like James was done with his nonsense as well. Or, at least, that's what the headmaster overheard. A curious look appeared on his face as the professor's words ran through his mind multiple times. He wondered how certain the man was about the statement he had made. As the professor performed the counter spell, he gave him a look that said that the matter was not over with -- he could either stick around and give more specifics or they would be having a private conversation later in his office while those brownies were examined more thoroughly.
James was the least of his concerns when Arthur started gathering cups of water and dropping the potion into them. Airey was the first to receive one and then Miss Lynch got a cup for Mr. Paton (he was going to pretend he didn't just see what Mr. Paton did). As Arthur walked around, Sahnoun grabbed one cup for Mr. Salander. "Drink this, m'boy. It'll help with da ... butterflies." |
