Watching the girl crouch down to avoid the arrows gave Nicky quite the sense of accomplishment. It would be hard for the girl to fake confidence when she'd essentially curled herself up in a ball. But Nicky's mistake from earlier meant that she kept focus on the girl once she started moving.

Nicky slashed her wand as soon as the first syllable was out of her opponents mouth. "Protego!" She kept her focus on directing the spell right back at Maggie. Let the girl disarm herself.

Not content with just this possibility, however, Nicky pointed her wand toward the ground. "Serpensortia," she muttered as the snake materialized on the ground between them. As it began to slither in Maggie'd direction, Nicky glanced between the girl and the creature. It could do damage on its own, especially if she provoked it.. but Nicky had specific plans for this serpent.

"Oppugno," she cast at the snake, her vision of the creature curling up Maggie's leg and making it's way further up her body in her mind. She knew the snake wouldn't bother to strike at the armor, traveling, instead, to the few bits of exposed flesh.
