Something that just made his insides hurt more than ever, because she was still Miss Charlotte, the Candy Cangel and he was the idiot that had decided to let her get away.
"I don't want to get up. My feet hurt." Was she going to gloat now? Tell him he deserved it?
Kick him? While he was down and everything? That wasn't even slightly her style. Did he really think she would do that? Charlotte frowned down at him and reholstered her wand.
"I don't hate you. I'm mad. And you hurt me worse than burned feet."
She reversed his wand and held it out for him since he wasn't going to take her hand and stand up. "I'm not sorry I beat you just now."
