It seemed the break room was a busy place at the moment. Most of the people who came in were newbies, she noted. Cassie made sure to give each one a pleasant smile. Charles got a nod. Cassie was not sure if she should introduce herself yet or not, but it did seem like the right time. She'd seem them all around, but had not spoken to all of them individually before so she did not know all of their names.
"Good morning," she said with a smile. "I'm Cassie," she said to the woman closest to her. The others were included, of course, but she wasn't sure if they were really paying attention because they seemed to be focused on the woman who was upset. Now that she learned what was wrong it certainly did seem like a good reason to be upset.
"I'm sure he won't be too mad if you just explain what happened." She tried to sound as reassuring as possible. In her experience, Gid was a pretty reasonable man. But of course losing a document was never exactly good so it would be nice if she could find it. Retracing her steps and summoning were exactly the things Cassie would have suggested so she simply stayed back and waited for her coffee, hoping the situation could resolve itself without too much trouble. |
