Genny found herself quite skilled in sleeping with her eyes wide open and jaw hanging open as she leaned on her desk. Second year wasn't as exciting as she thought would be, and it was all Sam's fault for being so hung up on books and boring things.
Anyway, back to the lesson. She 'woke up' when the small box landed on her desk. It was pretty. What... was... oh, yeah. Watching her friends cast the spell, Genny got excited over the concept of using her wand in this lesson (finally! That was what DADA was for anyway).
"Arithmos Revello Scindo," Genny's clear incantation and determination helped her succeed. Her box did roll around a couple of times but the numbers were visible:

"Woooow," she got distracted for a few seconds then quickly snatched a parchment and etched them down.
Now what? Ugh, she had to go to her book. Genny gave it a nasty look before she flicked the pages with her finger to get them to open. Ugh. Maybe someone else would help? Her eyes moved to those sitting next to her. |
