lt was at least ten minutes before she could react. Her eyes were puffy and red and she wiped her nose on the sleeve of her robes. When she did look up it was to glare at him again. Is that what he called accusing her of cheating to her face? Accusing her of not doing assignments herself? Not to mention not giving her the benefit of doubt that maybe, just maybe, she'd done both murals, as she had yet to ever cheat or missed a charms assignment in her whole time being at Hogwarts?
He called it pushing her, she called it assuming the worst in her with reason. She'd never been a problem in his class before that. Why should she respect a man who clear showed he didn't respect or think much of her?
Hadley looked away from him when he brought up her parents. She couldn't bring herself to look him in the eyes again, or let him see her face. "Relieved," she said finally. She grabbed the painfully small rag from his hand and stood up. "Maybe then they wouldn't have a witch for a daughter." With that she made her way to the far side again and started scrubbing quietly, tears silently streaking done her face.
"Can you refill the bucket please?" Since she didn't have her wand.
