Fluttery Pegasi The teen scoffed under her breath at the clock, but kept working silently. She was fuming. A time limit. Puh. She was gonna get done when she got done, period.
And yet Professor Prime still went on. And on. And on. Acting like she was the one that was harping on the shoving of the prefect. No sir, she was not. That would be you, Primey. She wasn't even arguing about the whole being late thing or anything. And...
...
It didn't matter if her actions were her own or not!? IT DIDN'T MATTER!? She was here because of her actions according to Primeaux, and now they didn't matter when she finally managed to get it through his thick skull that she might not have been in control of anything that day? Oh, yeah, she was just bursting with respect for the man. Every time he opened his mouth today he lost a bit more respect from her. Every time.
She was livid now. Tight angry breaths came and went in quick succession. Tinges of red danced at the edges of her vision. It was a miracle she was keeping from going off, to be honest. And then it happened. As he was laying into her even more, the walls thickened with grime, including the spots she'd already scrubbed clean.
Something broke in Hadley's brain.
She whipped around to face Julien Primeaux, eyes murderous. "I HAVE ALREADY APOLOGIZED TO HER!" she spat and kicked the bucket so hard it not only spilled all the water in it but also went clattering across the room. Then Hadley screamed. A loud, piercing, ear-damaging scream; every decibel brimming with frustration and the pain of her (possibly) now broken toe from kicking the bucket. "You keep going on and on about disrespect! But what about YOU!? Who punishes you when you show us disrespect!? Who puts you in detention? Yes, you have!" She added before he could argue that he has never shown her disrespect. He had. "You think you can treat us any way you want as long as you call us 'Miss' or 'Mister!' That doesn't equal respect!"
Tears of frustration and anger were now running down her cheeks, getting stuck on the edges of her mouth before finally completing the journey to her chin. Hadley wanted to scream again, but didn't. She threw what was left of the rag at Julien's head. "You act like you care, but you don't! None of you do! You don't want me. You want trained a monkey that only ever perform and act exactly how you want them to! Don't you dare pretend otherwise! Well, I'm sorry I'll never be what you want! I'll never be your perfect, obedient daughter!!" She meant to say student, but what she said instead was very telling. Hadley didn't even notice. The tears were flowing like rivers now, and Hadley sank to the floor, buried her head in her knees and sobbed.
