Dante liked being coming to the portraits since well they were an excellent source of gossip which was something Dante loved. All you had to do was be nice to them. Which was something Dante could do when it benefited him. So yeah. Plus it was not like they were far away like on the seventh floor or anything. Suited him perfectly.

Though he did have better things to do like the whole try and get good grades and then figure out what to do once he leaves school. But he still had time for that so he would just talk to portraits and then get some popcorn later. He deserved some.

Then after that maybe just annoy Hirsch or Draper.
