Why had he chosen Muggle Studies? The small boy wrinkled his nose, because that was hard to articulate properly. He had had several reasons...
"Mom wanted me to take it," he started, shifting from foot to foot restlessly. "I'm half Muggle... I went to Muggle school and everything before I came here. Mom says it's part of me and I shouldn't lose that. And I thought it'd teach interesting stuff. It did last year, with Mox, but I'm not learning anything this term at all."
He could tell the man what some of his classmates' favourite cartoons were. But really, he didn't need a class to learn that stuff. He looked up at McLeod imploringly. He didn't need the class... personal studies would be so much more productive. And cause less point loss for Slytherin. Soo he was bored of it as well on top of it. From how Justin saw it. "I see. I'm half-blooded as well so I know that feeling." So then, "Well, it looks like you'll need another subject to take it's place then." Second years weren't allowed free periods, sad to say. "Did you have another in mind?" Otherwise he coould suggest one. Quote:

And a job is meant to be taken seriously. Not that he'd expect this man to know, as apparently over half of the staff weren't well aware of the fact that they were in fact doing a real job here at this school. There'd be time for fun and games later.
....... Did you ever ask???
James deadpanned. HILARIOUS. "I highly doubt they came from the chambers," he folded his arms in a similar manner to that of the man standing in front of him. Two could play this game. "Unless the students were misinformed," was Justin about to call them liars? "I was called over because they came beyond the back of the castle and somehow made their way inside." Probably because a dumb kid from Justin's house let them in, let's be real. ".... Cute," James quipped in a manner that clearly translated the fact that he didn't think man's humor was "cute" in any way, shape, or form. Enough of this nonsense, James should've gone straight to the headmaster. Justin was proving to be rather useless and it did seem that James would have to-- Oh? So Justin did have something going on in that pretty little head of his after all? "Spot on, Pretty Boy," Yeah, James was 500% done. "Any strange activity coming from the forrest lately?" Assuming Justin had actually been doing his job, which was a pretty big assumption to make here. Honestly, the man probably spent most of his time grooming his hair, was there any time left to carry out his actual career? "Something must have driven them out."
And that's pretty much all James had to say, so if they were done here he could just let Justin stew on that for a bit, yeah? And though it'd be funny to see the grown man pee his bed, hopefully James didn't scare him too badly.
Justin would probably wonder if this grumpiness was intended to intimidate him. In which case, James had alot to learn from this man. To at least one of their delights. He listened to him alright, but the mimicking of body language was sending signals to Justin. Causing him to raise a brow. "I think you and I both know nifflers can come about from anywhere." In which case, "So it looks like it took more than one student to attract them from the forest as well." Perhaps even an adult? Though he wasn't going to give him any ideas thinking that just yet. Cute.. Pretty boy....... Aha. Justin grinned. This was such a nice boost to his ego. Tied with the grumpy acting. That was three men he somehow managed to charm since he entered in this castle. How flattering. "You think I'm pretty.." Not that he needed to confirm, as Justin had the answer in his head already no matter if he denied it. Now wasn't the time to break this man's heart. "There was a young student who experienced some strange behavior who happened to be in my house, though it appears she wasn't the only one." Which goes back to the barrier being tampered. "It had to have been sometime during the winter during the festivities they took a little trip. I think I'll need to set up some more charm barriers in that case." Something to prevent it happening again. "And what will you do?" Stand here waiting to flirt with him some more? |
