Compared to some of the other duels that the man had overseen, this one certainly wasn't as competitive. In fact, it was almost friendly, in a way. This wasn't something that Hirsch minded so much, even if he did like to see a bit of competitiveness within the duellers.
And it wasn't surprising to see Miss Kettleburn using the featherlight charm. Was this becoming her signature move?
He had no time to wonder about this because soon enough, the two duellers were off with their duel. Spells were being cast left and right and it looked like Miss Valentine was really putting Miss Kettleburn through her paces. Or, at least, trying not to let her win. There was a hint of exhaustion there, however. Natural. Completely natural.
When the time for the duel came to a close, the man struck up the barrier, saving Miss Valentine from spending the next few hours vomiting up slugs. "Well done, both of you. That was quite a duel, I have to say." And yes, Charlotte, you do look like you've had the Cheering Charm cast on you. "You've put up an excellent fight, Miss Valentine, but Miss Kettleburn has taken the title today. Congratulations!" And he was just going to get rid of any lasting effects from the spells cast now.
