The Death Chamber is a large, rectangular, dimly lit room which resembles Courtroom Ten. In the centre of the room is raised stone dais on which stands an ancient stone archway which is believed to be the gateway connecting the land of the living to the mystical unknown. A thin veil acts as a barrier between the two worlds, and this veil has been charmed to wave off any curious onlookers that get too close. This is important as anyone who steps through the veil is trapped in the land of the dead forever. Some people, when close to the veil, have the ability to hear voices which are believed to be the whisperings of the dead to their loved one, whether people here these voices spends on the person's belief in the afterlife.

Work within the Death Chamber is split into three divisions: death specialists who specifically study death and whatever follows, specialists who study two of the Unforgiveable Curses, and spectral chasers who study the phenomena which is near death experiences.
