February was a wonderful month. Her birthday was this month, AND so was Valentine's Day. And Bast's birthday was this month too.
Basically, February was the best month of the year. So Rula was in quite a good mood when she entered the Arithmancy and DADA lesson.
It being a lesson with Handsome Hirsch might have also helped her good mood too.
