Professor Myers was a nut. It was a fond and loving thought, coming from Dot, but he was. A nut. What was he wearing? That hat... no. Just no. And the jacket. Maybe he was color blind.
Plus also regular blind.
"Good day, Professor. You have a hat!" When in doubt, just say things that are true and let people assume it's meant as a compliment. It worked every time. Dot grabbed one of the honking daffodils and gave it a fond little pat on the bud.
