"'lo sir," he said softly, taking half a moment to look around as he followed the man deeper into the hut. It was more... homey, than the professors' offices he'd been in. But that was probably because McLeod lived in here, right? Whereas the professors just spent massive amounts of time in their offices. They weren't actually... you know... their homes. They had to have proper bedrooms and chambers or something somewhere. Couldn't just sleep in their deskchairs.
He gave the place another quick look before he turned his attention back to McLeod, a slight frown on his face. "I wanted to ask what I need to do to drop out of a class... if I can drop out of it, too. Since it's already so far into the school year."
He had things to do and places he never wanted to go have to go again, you know? He looked at McLeod rather hopefully, because he was reaaaaally looking for a very specific answer here, and he'd probably be very unhappy if he didn't get it. Interesting. This one wasn't even in his third year yet and was already wanting to drop a lesson. "Well, it matters what class you were wanting to drop from first." Because if he had a looming Potions final, then it was tough luck kid. But this man wouldn't just end it like that.
"So what class is it and why do you want to drop it?" Quote:

Because unlike Poncho Paul, James didn't see a need to do routine 'friendly neighbor' pop-ins. "Justin," he echoed. 'What's going on?' Justin was staff. He ought to know exactly 'what was going on'.
How the Headmistress had ever hired this groundskeeper was beyond him. "I've received one too many complaints in regards to a flood of nifflers invading the castle," and yes, yes nifflers were creatures and creatures were James' division. BUT. "And these ones aren't mine, which lead me to believe they came from the forrest." Nifflers were creatures and creatures were James' division but nifflers from the forrest meant this was a forrest problem and the forrest is on the grounds and grounds are Justin's division. SO.
Fix it, grounds-man. "Thoughts?" Or did James have to spell it out because he wasn't just here to complain about niffler invasions. He had a theory. But let's see if Justin could figure it out all on his own. Doubtful, honestly. The man was too invested in his hair to pay attention to anything else. How else could he keep it that well groomed? Of course. The longer Justin stared at this man, the more thoughts came to his head on how to unfold the seriousness of James. He wasn't going to start now on said challenge. Especially when he seemed to be in his usual serious mode. Other time though... maybe. He fought the urge to smirk.
Thoughts? Well okay, Justin folded his arms to look curious, "Did you ever ask your nifflers if they are missing some children?" Oh yes, he heard that they didn't belong to James, but if he remembered currently there were some nifflers already in that special house, yes? But in seriousness, "It's possible they came from the forest, but it is also possible they came back from the chambers, in which case there looks to be an infestation on hand still." Therefore this was not just his problem.
"Is there no more room in casa del Draper?" This older snake couldn't resist. The thought on James being the king of nifflers was too much. "Creatures tend to leave the forest when disturbed enough, so it's obvious that there needs to be another barrier to prevent even more from entering." Especially after the last incident. "Thoughts?" Back to you Sir James. |
